What are the visiting times?

Visiting hours are 11am-12md and 6pm-8pm
Partners are welcome at any time during the day. Rest period is from 1-3pm

Can my partner order a meal?

Yes. Partner’s meals can be ordered and paid for at the main reception desk on the ground floor .

How long do I stay in hospital once I have had my baby?

After a vaginal birth, you can expect to stay for 4 nights. After a caesarean section birth, you can expect to stay for 5 nights.

Where do I park?

Patient and visitor parking is available on site. Click here for current parking fees. Payment can be made at the ticket machine located on the ground floor in the foyer of Westmead Private Hospital.
We also offer a maternity long term parking rate, valid for 4 months, for $80.  These can be purchased from Reception located on the ground floor.

What is an antenatal card?

Your antenatal card will be given to you at you first appointment with your Obstetrician. Please carry it with you at all times and present it on admission to the Birth Suite.

When are the maternity tours?

Maternity tours are conducted on Tuesday evenings at 5.15pm and Saturday afternoons at 3.30pm.. Please meet at the main reception desk five minutes prior to the commencement time.

Do you need an obstetrician to book in?

Yes

Can you recommend an obstetrician?

We are unable to recommend an individual Obstetrician. There is a list of Obstetrician that are accredited at Westmead Private Hospital on our website.

Do I need to book in for antenatal classes?

Yes. Please book early to ensure a place at your preferred class on 02 8837 9279.

Are refreshments provided in classes?

Yes, refreshments are provided depending on the length and time of the class.

Who can fit my baby capsule?

Please call the RTA on 132213 to find your nearest RTA authorised fitting station
