Dr. Supuni Kapurubandara is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently working at Westmead Private Hospital as well as Blacktown and Westmead Public Hospitals. Her interests include;
- Abnormal pap smears & colposcopy
- Adolescent Gynaecology
- Menopause
- Recurrent miscarriage
- Abnormal menstrual problems
- Contraception
- Multidisciplinary management to complex chronic gynaecological problems (endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, prolapse, fibroids, pelvic floor problems and incontinence)
- Minimally invasive gynaecological surgery including advanced laparoscopy (keyhole) surgery
She is passionate about delivering the most appropriate individualised care utilising a holistic approach and currently oversees busy Antenatal, Gynaecology, Contraception clinics and operating lists for gynaecology. She has served as a board member for the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy Surgery Society (AGES) and remains a member of the NSW RANZCOG regional committee and is an Associate Clinical Lecturer for University of Sydney where she continues to be involved in ongoing research and education.
