Australia's first partial nephrectomy using state-of-the-art robotic technology with firefly imaging has been performed in Sydney at Westmead Private Hospital.
Westmead Private Hospital's, Nurse Unit Manager & Cardiac Clinical Coordinator, Julie Hulston, Dr Ian Nicholson (Cardiothoric Surgeon) & Dr Ajay Kumar (Perfusionist) have just returned from Fiji with Operation Open Heart where they helped save the lives of 34 Fijians at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva over 14 days.

IDENTICAL twin brothers Craig and Brenton Gurney, 38, were inseparable as children, shared a bedroom until they were 22, and have played in the same soccer team since they were five. They even ended up marrying women named Nicole.
Children “busked” in Westmead Private Hospital’s Atrium this Christmas to raise funds for Compassion Australia.

A 25 year old woman is making a successful recovery in Westmead Private Hospital after a unique surgical operation to treat a disorder that was causing compression of her brainstem and spinal cord resulting in disabling headaches, weakness and swallowing difficulties.
