Dr Carolyn Jameson has been recognised as a Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr Jameson works with an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, non-judgemental and professional healthcare to a diverse group of patients. Dr Jameson helps patients improve their health, and quality of life through surgery.
Dr Carolyn Jameson is a female General Surgeon with a interest in Bariatric Surgery, with a decade of experience as a consultant surgeon in Sydney. Dr Jameson runs clinics in Castle Hill and Westmead and is a Staff Specialist Surgeon at Auburn Hospital where she runs a regular General Surgery Outpatient Clinic. Dr Jameson also regularly performs cholecystectomy, hiatus hernia repair, umbilical hernia repair, gastroscopy & colonoscopy, excision of lipomata.
Dr Jameson completed her medical studies and PhD at the University of Sydney and surgical training at St Vincent’s, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Public and Private Hospitals and interstate in Canberra and Darwin. Dr Jameson has worked overseas in the Solomon Islands and in Nepal and in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia.
Dr Jameson is a Training Supervisor and Examiner for RACS and has a strong interest in academic surgery. She is a Bariatric & Metabolic Surgeon of Excellence who performs primary and revisional bariatric surgery (usually as a single-stage procedure) and is a Gold Contributor to the Australian National Bariatric Surgery Registry.
As a female surgeon, Dr Jameson takes a team-based, empathic, holistic and caring approach to patient care. Patient safety and quality outcomes are the principles by which Dr Jameson conducts her practice.
