First robotic kidney autotransplant at Westmead Private Hospital

On 21st June, 2016 the first robotic kidney autotransplant in Australia was undertaken at Westmead Private Hospital using the da Vinci Si Surgical System. The combined resources and expertise of both Westmead Private and Westmead Hospital's surgical teams enabled this to occur. The awesome team consisted of Prof Howard Lau, Dr Scott Leslie, A/Prof Henry Pleass, A/Prof Vincent Lam, Dr Ann Chee, Renan and Mark Liu and our wonderful theatre staff.
