Associate Professor Irwin Mohan is a vascular surgeon. He carried out his training at major vascular units in the United Kingdom, including St Mary s Hospital, London; Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant vascular surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary from 2001 to 2006, and undertook further training in endovascular techniques in Sydney, Australia. A/Prof Irwin Mohan holds public appointment at Westmead Hospital. He is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Sydney. A/Prof Mohan continues to be an examiner with the European Board of Vascular Surgery Qualifications, and also for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he did research at Imperial College, University of London for a doctor of medicine research degree (MD) into peripheral arterial disease, homocysteine and platelet function. He serves as a reviewer for a number of international medical journals and has many publications in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery.
