A/Prof Felix Chan is a gynaecological oncologist and is currently the Director of Gynaecological Oncology at Liverpool Hospital. He is a leading gynaecological robotic surgeon in Australia. He performed the first single site robotic hysterectomy in Australia in 2013 and pioneered multiple techniques in robotic gynaecological surgery.
A/Prof Chan has an interest in advanced laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal and open surgery for the treatment of gynaecologic malignacies and complex gynaecological problems. He serves as a senior lecturer for UNSW and a tutor in surgical skill for RANZCOG. He has been a nominee for Australian of the year in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
A/Prof Chan was the winner of the Paul Harris Fellowship 2012, the vocational excellence award from the Australian Rotary and Gold Companion for the Rotary Australia 2012. He is the Medical Director of Eggtober Foundation which raises funds for Gynaecological Cancer research. A/Prof Chan is also a member of the NSW Doctors Orchestra.
