Dr. Sangeetha Ramanujam is a FRACP certified Medical Oncologist with over ten years of professional experience in managing cancer patients which includes fellowship training in gastrointestinal malignancies and melanoma from renowned accredited Australian centres.
Sangeetha is driven by core values such as compassion and empathy and seeks to provide cancer patients with a comprehensive clinical care and service. She currently works as a visiting medical oncologist at the Griffith Base Hospital, a regional cancer centre, enabling provision of comprehensive cancer care closer to patient’s hometown. Here she treats patients with all solid organ cancers and regularly attends breast, lung, gastrointestinal, urology and melanoma multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT) across the Riverina Cancer Care and Griffith Oncology network.
Sangeetha has completed her Masters in Clinical Trials and Research through the University of Sydney. She also works part-time as a medical advisor for the Therapeutic Goods Administration and is actively involved in the critical appraisal of clinical trial evidence for approval of medicines in Australia. She is also actively involved in research involving real world clinical practise and has published research work in colorectal cancers, lung cancer and in melanoma.
