Dr Carolyn Jameson (“Dr CJ”) is a Sydney-based Bariatric Surgeon of Excellence specialising in obesity and metabolic surgery with broad experience across a range of other sub-specialty areas including kidney (for renal failure) and pancreas (for type I diabetes) transplantation, head and neck surgery (thyroid & parathyroid) and surgical oncology (melanoma, SCC, BCC).
Dr Jameson is a surgeon with Sydney Bariatric Clinic with clinics in Westmead and Penrith and a Staff Specialist Surgeon at Auburn Hospital in General Surgery (Gallbladder, Hernia, Upper-GI, Upper & Lower Endoscopy, Lumps & Bumps) and participates in volunteer work for Tour de Cure and Racesafe.
Dr Jameson completed her medical studies and PhD at The University of Sydney and her surgical training in Sydney at St Vincent’s, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), Westmead Public and Private Hospitals and interstate at Royal Darwin & The Canberra Hospitals. Dr Jameson has worked overseas in the Solomon Islands and in Nepal and in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia.
Dr Jameson has a strong interest in academic obesity surgery. She is a Bariatric / Metabolic Surgeon of Excellence and contributes data to the Australian National Bariatric Surgery Registry
