Dr Jameson is a surgeon with the Sydney Bariatric Clinic which performs over 400 major surgical cases annually. Dr Jameson trained in General Surgery in St Vincents Hospital, Sydney, Royal Darwin Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2011. She pursued post-fellowship training in Bariatric Surgery, Transplantation Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Head & Neck Surgery at the Westmead Hospitals in Sydney. Dr Jameson has a public appointment at Auburn Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Jameson is an enthusiastic educator with many years teaching and research experience. She is currently a member of faculty for the HETI Post-Graduate Diploma in Essential Surgical Skills and clinical examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Jameson completed the Centre of Excellence Executive Clinical Leadership Program and was awarded a Humanitarian Aid Scholarship from Westmead Association for volunteer work she undertook at the B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital Chitwan, Nepal.
Dr Carolyn Jameson has been accredited as a Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation.
