Dr Tumuluri is an Ophthalmologist who subspecialises in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery - adults and children. He completed his medical degree at UNSW (with honours) and also completed a Masters of Medicine in Public Health. After completion of Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, he undertook 3 years of additional training in the subspecialty of Oculoplastic surgery. He worked in London for 2 years (Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital) and Manchester for one year (Manchester Royal Eye Hospital). He works at Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals, Children’s Hospital Westmead and Skin and Cancer Foundation. He was an examiner for the Royal Australian and NZ College of Ophthalmologists in the discipline of anatomy. He is a clinical senior lecturer at Univ of Sydney and Macquarie University.
Research:
Dr Tumuluri has special interest in – Management of eyelid malpositions (ptosis, ectropion and entropion surgery), management of skin cancers in the region of eyelids, Seventh nerve palsy, DCR surgery for watery eye – specialising in endoscopic DCR surgery, Thyroid eyelid and orbital problems and management of orbital lesions and tumours.
