Dr Prasad Athreya is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspeciality interests in Paediatrics and Foot & Ankle surgery. He grew up and attended school in Western Sydney, and studied medicine at the University of New South Wales.
After completing his fellowship training with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association, Dr Athreya has completed a foot and ankle fellowship in Sydney, Australia, and a paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the well renowned Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.
Dr Athreya works as an orthopaedic surgeon at Westmead Children’s Hospital and treats a wide variety of paediatric orthopaedic problems including:
- Upper and Lower Limb injuries and fractures
- Unexplained Limping
- In/out-toeing
- Bowed legs/knocked knees
- Toe walking
- Flat/high arched feet
