Dr Alaina Taylor is a Sydney based Plastic Surgeon. After gaining her medical degree with Honours at the University of Sydney in 2007, she completed her internship and residency at Concord General Repatriation Hospital before embarking on 8 years of advanced surgical training. This included 3 years in General Surgery and 5 years in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, achieving fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2018.
Fully trained in all areas of Plastic Surgery, Dr Taylor has a special interest in breast surgery (including reconstruction, revision and aesthetic breast surgery), skin cancer surgery, facial surgery and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. She is one of the very few, female Plastic Surgeon’s in Sydney, who can offer the full range of breast reconstructive techniques. In 2019 she visited Dr Emmanuel Delay, the President of the French Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and a world pioneer and expert in fat grafting. During this time in Lyon, France, she learnt advanced fat grafting techniques which are broadly applicable in Plastic Surgery, but particularly advantageous for breast reconstruction, breast revision surgery and breast implant removal.
Dr Taylor is a Plastic Surgeon at Westmead and Auburn Hospitals where she performs a broad range of Plastic Surgery including complex cancer and trauma reconstruction for the entire body, skin cancer surgery and hand surgery.
Dr Taylor has a genuine and approachable manner that puts patients immediately at ease. She is caring and compassionate and always has the patient’s best interests at heart. Dr Taylor aims to provide safe and sensible advice as well as excellent surgical outcomes, based on her expertise and sound judgement.
