Dr Isaac Thangasamy is a Urologist with advanced fellowship training in management of kidney, bladder and prostate cancers.
Isaac grew up in Western Sydney and completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales. After completing speciality urology surgical training in Queensland, Isaac spent a year at Nepean Hospital, Sydney, developing his robotic and minimally invasive surgical skills. He then travelled to Melbourne to complete a Uro-Oncology Surgery Fellowship at the esteemed Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Isaac then returned to Queensland to serve as the Director of Urology at Ipswich General Hospital before relocating his family to Sydney.
Isaac is passionate about improving urology outcomes in Western Sydney in partnership with general practitioners. Isaac has a keen interest in surgical education. He is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and is a skills course faculty member for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Isaac believes that it is important for patients to understand their treatment pathway. He takes an educational and collaborative approach to his care and prides himself on his clear communication and empathetic disposition.
